LaneTrax App — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LaneTrax Inc. (“LaneTrax,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and sells information in connection with the LaneTrax iOS application (the “Application”). By using the Application, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.
1) Scope
This Policy applies to personal information and other data processed through the Application and related services we control. Separate terms may apply to third-party sites and services you access (see Section 8).
2) Categories of Information We Collect
- Shot & Video Data: videos of bowlers throwing shots; video frames; thumbnails; frame- or sensor-level analytics (e.g., timing, speed proxies, ball path/line detection, pinfall, release metrics); derived model outputs and annotations.
- Engagement & Usage Analytics: session events, taps/clicks, screens viewed, time spent, funnels, referral/UTM data, campaign/notification opens, crash/diagnostic logs, device performance metrics.
- Identifiers & Device Data: device model, OS version, app version, IP address, device identifiers/IDs, locale, language, time zone, and coarse location approximations inferred from IP or device settings (not precise GPS unless separately enabled).
- Account & Purchase Data: name, email, authentication IDs/tokens, in-app purchase status, subscription tier, renewal/cancellation events (as available from Apple/RevenueCat).
- Communications: support requests, feedback, survey responses, and marketing preferences.
3) How We Use Information
- Provide & Operate: deliver core features, process subscriptions, maintain and secure the Application.
- Analyze & Improve: measure performance, debug issues, develop new features, and train/improve computer-vision and analytics models.
- Marketing & Promotions: create content from shot and video data; advertise and promote LaneTrax; personalize messaging; measure campaign performance.
- Safety & Compliance: prevent fraud, enforce terms, comply with law, and protect our rights and users.
4) Videos & Shot Data — Collection, Use, and Marketing
We collect and store all shot data and videos of bowlers throwing their shots captured, uploaded, or processed via the Application, together with derived analytics and annotations. We may use this material for any lawful purpose, including marketing and promotional uses (e.g., showcasing features, generating demo clips, illustrative analysis), product improvement, and training of algorithms and models.
5) Selling and Sharing of Data
We may sell or share (as those terms may be defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws) personal information and other data, including shot/video data and derived analytics, with third parties (e.g., partners, analytics providers, or customers) for business or commercial purposes. Where required by law, we provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control and honor opt-out preference signals. Your choices are described in Section 9.
6) Legal Bases (Where Applicable)
Depending on jurisdiction, our processing may rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract (providing the Application), our legitimate interests (security, analytics, improvement, marketing), compliance with legal obligations, and/or your consent (e.g., certain marketing or sensitive uses where required).
7) Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Application, fulfill the purposes described above, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods may vary by data type, use case, and legal/regulatory requirements.
8) Third-Party Services
We use third-party SDKs and services to operate the Application, process subscriptions, provide messaging/support, measure performance, and run analytics/attribution. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies:

Data sent to these providers may include device identifiers, IP address, app version, OS version, coarse location signals, in-app events/screens, subscription status/entitlements, and diagnostics (e.g., crashes, performance). These providers may combine such data with other information they have collected independently (for example, across their services), subject to their policies and your settings.
8A) SDK & Data Sharing Summary
- Purposes: analytics/attribution, performance monitoring, diagnostics, messaging/support, subscription management, and marketing measurement.
- Identifiers: device IDs, installation IDs, IP, user/account IDs (where used), and in-app event IDs.
- Events & Usage: screens viewed, taps/clicks, sessions, referral/UTM parameters, campaign/notification opens, subscription purchase/renew/cancel (as available), crash/perf metrics.
- Video/Shot-Related Metadata: we may share derived analytics/metadata (e.g., anonymized shot metrics) to support measurement or product improvement; raw video is shared only as described in this Policy.
- Ad/Tracking Controls: you can limit ad tracking or reset advertising IDs in iOS Settings. Where required by law, we honor “Do Not Sell or Share” requests and applicable preference signals (see Section 9).
9) Your Privacy Choices & Rights
- Do Not Sell or Share: Where required by law, you may opt out of the selling/sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Use the in-app setting or our site link titled “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information,” or email contact@lanetrax.app. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals where mandated.
- Access/Deletion/Correction: You may request access to, deletion of, or correction of personal information, subject to verification and legal limits. Contact us at contact@lanetrax.app.
- Marketing Communications: You can opt out of marketing emails by using unsubscribe links or contacting us.
- App Controls: You may uninstall the Application and/or adjust device permissions. Some features may not function without certain permissions.
10) Children’s Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action, including deletion, as required by law. Where laws impose higher age thresholds or require verifiable parental consent, we will comply.
11) Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12) International Users
If you access the Application from outside the United States, you understand information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
13) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in the Application and/or on our website. Your continued use of the Application after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
